Rules:
- 3 women and 3 men on court at all times
- All games played on women's height net
- Uniforms (with unique numbers) are required (this rule isn't requiring that
people have the same team uniform but have numbers on their shirts; this makes
it easier to keep score and allows people who are being rated as scorekeepers
to have something to submit)
- Depending on the number of teams, pool play will consist of
two or three games.
- With regards to the number of team contacts: "When the ball is played more than once by a team,
at least one of the contacts must be made by a male player."
In addition to the previous USAV rule, we will also observe the
following modified rule: "When the ball is played three times by
a team, at least one of the contacts must be made by a female
player."
- With regards to men attacking the ball: The first game will be played according to the official USAV
rules: "Male players may contact the ball from above the
height of the net and cause it to enter the opponent's area as
long as the ball has an upward trajectory immediately after contact."
- Also with regards to men attacking the ball: The second game will be played with modified rules: "In
addition to the rule above, male players may contact the
ball from above the height of the net and cause it to enter the
opponent's area as long as the player jumps from behind
the 10 foot line and lands BEHIND the 10 foot line."
- All third games in pool play (if needed) and playoff games
(including mini-playoffs to break 2nd place ties) will
use the same format as the second game listed above.
